Often kids have worries that stop them from enjoying their days at school and at home. Sometimes these worries get so bothersome that kids are scared and anxious about leaving their house.

Some kids worry that something will happen to their house or to their parents while they are gone.
Some worry they will get into an accident.
Some kids are afraid of riding on the bus to school.

Different kids have different worries. But it all comes down to one thing: If you are worrying so much that it is stopping you from living your life in a happy, carefree way, then........it looks like you might have a case of "The Worry Dragons"!!
Sometimes it may be what you are telling yourself that can invite the worry dragons to start flying around you.
BUT, you have the power to say positive things to yourself to make those worry dragons go POOF!! and disappear right into thin air!!
Here are some hints of things you could say to yourself to make worry dragons disappear.

I may be worried, but I can handle this.

I may be scared, but I can deal with this just fine!

This is not an emergency. I can take time to slowly calm
down.

This is a good chance for me to learn to cope with my
worries and fears.

I deserve to feel OK right now.

Nothing serious is going to happen to me.

Nothing serious is going to happen to anyone else.

These are just thoughts. Thoughts cannot bite me.

So what? I will be OK.
