
Course Description and Outline:
Latin twelve covers the same format as Latin ten and eleven. However, more detail is given to the use of Latin in the fields of science and art. Terms and phrases focused on Medicine, pharmacy and the human body are all considered. Law terms and phrases are also covered.
Course
Outline:

Students
will complete Stage 18 of the Cambridge Latin course. Students will then begin
translation of texts taken from the Dolphin Latin Reader. The course will end
with the translation of “Oh Loca tu Ibis”.

Students
will be re-introduced to Latin grammar using verb and noun ending sheets.
·
Students
will take part in activities that require participation. This includes group
work.
Students will be introduced to medical and Law terms (and related phrases/information).

class mark includes homework, the work you complete in class, and behaviour.

There
will be three tests during the semester. Exams are written during exam week.

Quizzes
are given every second week, and are based on vocabulary from Ecce Romani and
your stage books.
