Course Description and Objective:
In Latin 11 a new Roman family is introduced and the stories translated provide a review of what was completed in grade ten. With the completion of these translations students will gain specific knowledge regarding the daily lives of the Roman people.
Students will become familiar with the various Roman Gods and Goddesses. There will be a review of their importance in the daily lives of the Roman people.

Outline:

Students
will complete Ecce Romani 1 (Meeting the family). There are 14 chapters in this
text to complete. When finished, students will begin stage 13 of the Cambridge
Latin course and end at stage 17.

Students
will be introduced to Latin grammar using verb ending sheets.
·
Students
will be introduced to Roman mythology.
·
Students
will take part in activities that require participation. This includes group
work.

class mark includes homework, the work you complete in class, and behaviour.
· There will be three tests during the semester. The exam is written during exam week.

are given every second week, and are based on vocabulary from Ecce Romani and
your stage books.
