Procedure:

Students work in small groups to
list what they know about the general topics of erosion, tides, lunar influences
and volcanoes using the general statements of:
What I Know
What I Would Like to Know

Students break into larger groups
related to the topic in which they are interested to share and learn

As a class, the students review the
knowledge already present in their peers

Students pose general questions to
which they would like answers, as a precursor to the Phase I activities
in which they will be immersed in the various topics.
