Objectives:
  • To provide background knowledge from videos about the effect of weathering and erosion on the land forms of our region. 
  • To have the students understand the effect of the tides on the erosional and depositional features of the shoreline. 
Procedure:
  • Students will watch videos and take notes.
  • The Appalachian Story discusses the main geological features of N.S. especially along the shoreline. 
  • The teacher should point out the references to the volcanic rock basalt.

    •    “Land and Sea.  Ocean Floor Mapping”:     CBC  Documentary 
Ongoing Assessment:
  • Recording of information in notebooks

Equilibrium and Keq     Test 5 Review Outline

There are two parts to the test written on different days.

Part A involves 5 Equilibrium (Math)  questions from the Text book P 499 Q#6 and  7 and the Handout: Le Chatelier’s principle and Equilibrium and Keq ( Q 1 to 8, 11 and 12).

Part B involves 40 Multiple choice questions from:

·      Chapter  12: Rates of chemical reactions Multiple choice questions

·       Le Chatelier’s principle Q 1 a to d and 2 a to d.

·      Chemical Equilibrium – Theory review Q 1 to 12.

Part B also has 3 drawing potential energy diagrams similar to P 476 Q 1, 2 and 3.
And Chemical Equilibrium – Theory review Diagrams from Q  9 and 10.
