Interview Skills


Objectives:
  • To develop and refine interview questions and techniques
  • To enhance self-confidence and self-esteem
  • To encourage critical thinking skills
Procedure:
  • Students work in small groups to develop interview questions.
  • Once each small group has created a set of questions, the groups will jigsaw(each person moves moves to a different group; this is repeated 3-4 times so that each new group that is created has all new members). Each person shares the questions that their previous group created and the new group develops additional questions.
  • After the jigsaw activity has been completed, each original group has a variety of questions posed by themselves and by others in the class which they may use.
  • Students then practice interviewing each other with the questions as a guideline, recording and reviewing the interview for ideas on further developing their interview questions and/or techniques.
Materials/Resources:
  • Word processor; tape recorder, cam corder
  • Index cards
Ongoing Assessment:
  • Journal 
  • Filing of sample interview questions in the Research section of their Portfolio or on disk

Equilibrium and Keq     Test 5 Review Outline

There are two parts to the test written on different days.

Part A involves 5 Equilibrium (Math)  questions from the Text book P 499 Q#6 and  7 and the Handout: Le Chatelier’s principle and Equilibrium and Keq ( Q 1 to 8, 11 and 12).

Part B involves 40 Multiple choice questions from:

·      Chapter  12: Rates of chemical reactions Multiple choice questions

·       Le Chatelier’s principle Q 1 a to d and 2 a to d.

·      Chemical Equilibrium – Theory review Q 1 to 12.

Part B also has 3 drawing potential energy diagrams similar to P 476 Q 1, 2 and 3.
And Chemical Equilibrium – Theory review Diagrams from Q  9 and 10.
