Cape Forchu Field Trip
_______________________________________September 2001_______________________________________

The purpose of the field trip was to to learn about the various aspects of Cape Forchu and to take pictures of the scenery and the local geological features. It was attended by 40 students, 5 chaperons and the bus driver. The first stop was False Harbour where we chose to walk, hike, and climb along the shore to the lighthouse instead of taking the road. Some students found the hike to difficult and turned around and took the easy way to the lighthouse. Others found the experience exhilarating and the scenery breathtaking.
