2. What is
expected of my child?
3. How will I
know what is going on in school? What do
I do if I have a question or don’t understand something?
4. How will my child be assessed and
evaluated? How is my child doing and how
will I know?
· Informal assessment will occur in your child’s class daily through observation (do they take pride in their work, ability to do their work, willingness to participate, how independently they work, how they interact with their peers)
· Information for formal evaluation will be gathered from their work and one-on-one interviews. The findings will be shared through their three report cards in December, March and June.
5. What can I
do to help my child develop and improve?
· Make sure they have a good night sleep
· Feed them a nutritious breakfast, recess and lunch
· Make sure they get to school on time and are there every day.
· Take an interest in their work—read with them, encourage and support them when they bring their work home. Go through the home and school bag each night.
· Call me if you have any questions or concerns—I really don’t mindJ 749-2860.
