Polar Bear

Physical Description
The males average 7-9ft long and 5ft high at the shoulder. A male weighs 900lb to the maximum over half a ton.
The females are smaller and about 700lb.
All Polar Bears have a long head, small ears along neck, strong legs, big feet with hairy soles and a stump for a tail. Their coats are white and yellowish it’s made up of long hairs and dense under fur.
Diet
They eat young walruses .Fish,seabirds sometimes eggs and also dead animals but there favorite food is seals,especially the ringed seals.
Habitat
Most Polar Bears live along the coasts of the Artic region .They usually live in a den in the snow. That’s where they sleep all winter.
Interesting Facts
The Polar Bear is an excellent swimmer.
They have oily thick fur that shields water and helps insulate the bear against the cold
They have a thick protective layer of fat more than three inches thick on back, buttocks and thighs
The Polar Bear cubs stay with there mothers for two years.
A Polar Bear spends most of  it life alone, hunting seals and ect.
