Vietnamese  were also known as the Vietcong and during the gorilla  warfare were very good opponents   because they  new the area  very well.

The place were PFC Milton Lee Olive sacrificed himself to save fellow comrades was 35 miles Northwest of Saigon.

This medal was awarded to Milton Lee Olives relatives because of his bravery in Vietnam  by saving his comrades and platoon leader 1st Lt.James Stanford.
