made her musical debut at the age of
six in her
father’s church choir. She won a silver cup in the Nova Scotia Musical Festival.From
this experience she then had a good future she received a scholarship from the Halifax Ladies Musical Club so she
could attend the Halifax Conservatory of Music.The government of Nova Scotia noticed her talent and assisted
her by establishing the Nova Scotia Talent Trust to her to aid her training. After making successful debut in
Toronto and New York she began touring all over the world and became an important for the country.
