in her birthplace at Truro N.S. and
a film documentary (Think on me).
nPortia White was
asked to perform for Queen Elizabeth
II , at the opening of the Confederation Center of arts in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, in 1964. This was to be one of her last major concerts.
nDebuts-She made a
debut in 1944 in New York City and
in Toronto in 1941.
nShe had a postage
stamp made with her face on it.
