 France is located in the continent of Europe.
The population of France is 63.753 million.

When the French Celebrate Christmas
Christmas is celebrated from December 6th- January 6th. The main gift giving day is on January 1st.

 In France they speak French.

O Christmas Tree
 The French Christmas tree is decorated like any typical American or Canadian Christmas tree.
 The Christmas tree is called  un sapin in French.
Santa Claus
 Pere Noel is France`s Santa Claus. Pere Noel says Tra la la, Tra la la, bouli bouli, boulah. He rides a donkey. He wears a long, flowing red robe with a red hood.
Pere Noel’s Evil Friend
 Its not just Pere Noel that visits the children of France. He also has Pere Fouettard. Pere Fouettard visits the bad children of France.

Nativity Characters
 The Nativity scene is called a crèche. Mary, Joseph, and Jesus a.k.a Petit Noel.
They have the same history as our nativity scene characters.
What’s to eat?
 Roast Goose Recipe
1 cup dry vermouth  - 8 oz. goose liver pate
-2 cups beef bouillon    -1 pinch thyme
-40 to 50 pitted prunes  -Salt and pepper, to taste
-Liver from goose, minced   -1/2 cup of bread crumbs
-2 tbs. Butter                  -2 tart apples, cored and chopped
-1/3 cup of port wine      -

 Good girls and boys get presents from Pere Noel.
  Naughty children get SPANKED!!! By the one and only … Pere Fouettard!
France- The One and Only
 The French are very unique people. Here are some unique things about them.
1.They put their slippers out by the fireplace
2.France has table top trees.
3. They have 2 main Christmas characters.
4.Pere Noel says Tra la la, Tra la la, bouli bouli boulah! Not HO HO HO!
5.The main gift-giving day is January 1st.
