Dried Flower Experiment Sept. 27, 2004
We are trying an experiment to compare drying flowers in the air, in the microwave, and in silica gel crystals.
A Purple Cone Flower and a Black-eyed Susan were placed in the microwave, using the Microwave Flower Press, for three sessions of 30 seconds, moving the flowers after each session to keep them from sticking.
Another set was hung on the wall to air dry, and a third was placed in Flower Drying Silica Gel Crystals.
Results: Top left is Microwave drying, top right is air drying, bottom is Silica Gel drying.
