The harp seal is 6 feet long and 400 pounds. A
female is pale gray and a male is black. they have markings on their face
and back. When they are a baby they have
thick soft white hair. They also have big black eyes. |

The harp seal lives in the extreme northern
parts of the Atlantic ocean areas of the Arctic ocean. By the coast and in
the water. |

People wanted to save harp seals so they stopped
buying there seal skin products. |

2) Harp seals are probably the most popular seal
in the world. |

3) The babies white coat sheds after ¾ weeks. |
|
4) The harp seal is sometimes called the
Greenland seal and the saddleback seal. |

5) At birth the pups are covered with a
stiff white wooly coat ,the “white
coat” of the sealers . |
