On
April 10,1734 Marie was to be sold. It was believed that she set fire to
her owners home. The fire spread
leaving 46 buildings damaged including the famed L’ Hotel Dieu hospital. |

No one was harmed in the making of the
fire. After Marie tried to
escape, she was captured and brought to trial. |
|
|

The French justice system was over a two
month period, she was to confess,and be tortured. |
