On June 24,1911,a special baby was born-an infant who would grow up to become an important singer.

Her last public appearance was in Ottawa in 1967. Portia White died of cancer in Toronto on February 13, 1968, at the age of 57.

She had died of cancer

1917-She song at churches at the age of six.

1929-She graduated from high school and attended in Dalhousie University.And became a teacher at the age of 18. 1952-After leaving the fulltime concert stage,Portia teaches voice in Toronto.

1955-In 1955 Portia had an operation on for cancer.
