     Rosa Parks` childhood brought
       her early experiences with racial discrimination and activism for racial
       equality. After her parents separated, Rosa`s mother moved the family to
       pine level Alabama to live with her parents Rosa and her brother –both
       former slaves and strong advocates for racial equality for the family to
       live on the Edwards farm, where Rosa would spend her youth . In one
       Experience, Rosa`s grandpa stood in front of the house with a shotgun ,  waiting for the Ku Klux Klan members
       to march down the street . |

       Girls in Montgomery, she took academic and vocational courses, she
       finished her high school studies in 1933 
       at a time when less then 7% of African  Americans had a high school diploma . |

     2000,
    her home state awarded her the Alabama Academy of Honor,[53]she receives the first Governor's Medal of Honor for Extraordinary
        Courage.[54]She was awarded two dozen honorary doctorates from universities
        worldwideShe is made an honorary member 
        of  the  Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.the Rosa Parks Library and Museum on the campus of Troy University in
        Montgomery was dedicated to her. 2002,
    scholar Molefi Kete Asante listed Parks on his list of 100 Greatest
        African Americans.[55]A portion of the Interstate 10 freeway in Los Angeles is named in her
        honor. 2003, Bus No. 2857 on which Parks was riding is restored and placed on
       display in The Henry Ford [56]2004, In the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system, the Imperial
       Highway/Wilmington station, where the Blue Line connects with the Green
       Line, has been officially named the "Rosa Parks Station

       whites could  sit in the back of
       the bus , she refused to move and later on got arrestedThen later on whites and blacks could sit wherever they wanted  . !! |
