- Started: July 5 1916
- Ended: January of 1919
- Where: Pictou county (Truro)
- Conditions: It was very hard and some would get sick and sometimes die
- Schooling: They trained in Pictou
- Work: Dug trenches, cut lumber, made train tracks and put up barb wire

- They served for their country in World War One
- They had pride for their country
- Many soldiers died but they still stood strong
- They became a Battalion
- Even though they were black they still tried to get in the army
- They were the only all- black battalion in history

- Taylor: They were very brave and they took lots of racism
- Taylor: They were very kind to one another
- Taylor: They stood up to racism
- Brogan: When one person was sick they cared for him
- Brogan: Proud black Americans that had pride in their country
- Brogan: they were the bravest battalion I ever heard of
