On May 4th 1783, ships carrying 3,037
loyalists from New York landed in port Roseway harbour. Colonel Stephen
Blucke helped develop and build the town of Shelburne and Birchtown. |

He was
a slave so he didn’t have much education. But when he got to Birchtown
he became a teacher. |

His major was Accomplishment was that he helped
build the town of Shelburne and Birchtown. He was also a soldier in the
American revolution. |

People believe that Stephen was attacked by wild
animals and some of his clothes were found on Pell Road but no one knows
what happened to him. |
