Steps
1)Mix flour with sugar , baking powder, and salt
in a bowl
2)Combine beaten eggs and ¾ cup of the milk. Stir
into dry ingredients to make a stiff dough:add more milk if needed to moisten all
dry ingredients. Stir in butter or margarine.
3)Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and
knead 1 to 2 minutes until
smooth. Divide dough into 24 balls. Roll each ball into a
round shape about 6 inches in diameter.
4)Fry each bunuelo in hot deep fat until
delicately browned, turning to fry on second side. Drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle with
sugar-cinnamon mixture while still warm. 2 dozen bunuelos
